보이지 않는 것들을 향한 상상이 지각을 재편할 수 있는가? 감동환 개인전 《그녀의 왼발 여섯 개의 발가락과 그녀의 왼발 여섯 개의 발가락 중》은 하나의 대상이 지각되는 방식을 되묻는 자리에서 시작한다. 하나의 대상은 전시장에 들어서는 순간 여러 감각으로 쪼개지고, 보이지 않는 대상 앞에서 상상은 시각이 닿지 못한 자리를 구성한다. 전시에서 상상은 현실을 벗어나는 도피가 아닌, 상황적 조건이 지각을 재편하는 과정에서 우회로를 만든다.

Can imagination toward the invisible reconfigure perception? Donghwan Kam’s solo exhibition, The Six Toes on Her Left Foot and of the Six Toes on Her Left Foot, begins by questioning how a single object comes to be perceived. Upon entering the exhibition space, a single object splits into fragmented and multiple senses, and in the face of the invisible, imagination constructs the space where vision fails to reach. In this exhibition, imagination is not an escape from reality, but rather makes a detour that emerges as situational conditions reconfigure perception.
